Alive is the word of the hour.
There are lots going on in my world right now.. first, and foremost, the unspeakably exciting birth of our son, Frederick Moon Leeds!
Weighing in at 6 pounds 14 ounces, he was born, happy (?) and healthy in the beginning of April and I haven’t stopped smiling yet! He has been the center of our universe (and with more love each day) since, well, the day we found out Molly was pregnant, last July.
Also ALIVE is this blog. No. Really. As I get back in to the grind, I am revisiting a number of previously neglected parts of my life – this blog and my site – both overdue for some TLC which is presently forthcoming…
Well, part three happens to be the end of this year’s display of the “Tribute In Lights” and it marks a few firsts for me..
I made a somewhat spontaneous decision on Thursday night, abandoning my previous game plan, and electing, instead, to attempt to create a time lapse “montage” of photos of the display..
I will admit, that while I’m pleased encouraged with the results – I made a number of mistakes in hindsight – some of them the result of overthinking the project and thus talking myself into one setting when another would have worked better – and others just in the course of it being a “blind date” of sorts.
In any event, I’m now planning to make another stab at it with a bunch of lessons now learned..
I’ve embedded the video below – you can also find it on YouTube (another first for me!)
Please, let me know what you think.
Special thanks to Michael Lawlor, Ryan Krieger and Drop Thud Oops, a portion of whose “Phrygian Waltz” is featured as the sound track..
Hope you enjoy the show..

After a long, “stir-crazy” inducing couple of days, my site has finally made the full move to a new host, and I’m excited to introduce a fresh look to what was formerly know as the “News” page – re-named “BLOG” – in the interests of more frequent and more interactive entries I’ve decided to utilize the many features of the WordPress.org blogging platform.
I’m new to this blogging world, and, while I am not certain where it will take me, I am sure there will be something for everybody at the end of the day.
If you have any comments, suggestions or constructive criticism to offer, please feel free to let me know.
In closing, I’d like to publicly thank Grover, Jason and the rest of the gang at s2f.com – you’ve been great hosts and, while I’m sad to say good by to your hosting services, I’m excited for you and wish you continued success with the PhotoShelter movement. Thanks for all that you have done, and continue to do in support of photographers and the photo industry.
I’ll be back this evening with another posting of some of the other things that have kept me busy this week..
August 04, 2008: BROOKLYN, NY:
There is an interview with the twins, along with a couple of my photos, on nitro:licious today..
For the latest on tight pants, LEGO, and Jackson Swinton … check it out here.
* Despite the generous credit, I did not take all of the photos that accompany the interview, if I knew who’d taken the others I would have given them credit here, and requested that nitro:liicious do the same..
